Pyjama Party and Prize Giveaway in celebration of it's August Release... play along with new stamps you purchased this month or any stamp that goes with the theme... there are a series of challenges posted on the Waltzingmouse Blog, it's as easy as create and link... and the prizes could be coming to you!
I played along with this month's Sketch Challenge, and used one of the lovely flower sets release this month, along with one of the to die for sentiments...
The sketch had a large oval feature, rather than stamp the flowers or sentiment onto the feature panel, I used a white oval, and stamped it in YELLOW with the fabulous Zig-Zag Background, this gave open space, but with stamped detail, I LOVE this stamp, I have put it to constant use since it came to my place!!!
I pieced strips of fancy matching paper into the background for this card, adding piercing to the perimeter and a portion of the oval.... then it was a case of stamping and fussy cutting the leaves and flowers, and then the sentiment.... I LOVE the detail stamps provided with the flower stamps this month, notice the veins in the leaves, and the flatness of the flowers yet with all the over-inking/stamping, just fabulous!
I should say that I also moved the vertical banded element, that's totally acceptable with a Waltzingmouse Sketch, it is really just about inspiring you to start a card! Enjoy playing in your PJs for a few hours... this always makes me happy!
